Science meets the land.

RESTORE. HEAL. REPEAT.

Climate Beneficial™ Wool is a project within
Fibershed’s Climate Beneficial Agriculture Program,

the non-profit that has been supporting and aggregating the science &
supporting public education on the merits of carbon farming since 2010.

The Climate Beneficial™ Fiber Pool was created in 2020,
in partnership with Imperial Yarn, of Oregon, as a means to aggregate wool
from fine wool ranches within Fibershed’s producer program.

Leveraging Imperial Yarn’s best practices in the world of wool fiber & soft goods production, the Fiber Pool’s aim is to incentivize Climate Beneficial™-verified fibers to manufacturers which in turn provides the ranchers with the financial support that allows them to pursue & implement their Carbon Farm plans.

Brands can now connect at the fiber level, creating greater awareness of the
fibers that are being grown & processed domestically. This work also encourages the return of manufacturing to the United States and strengthens the commitment toward investment into the necessary infrastructure.

Increased awareness creates greater demand for Climate Beneficial™ fibers which supports more carbon farming. More carbon farming supports the restoration of our working landscapes.

Lies right in sight:
Right in all of us. Trust
